Tutorial — CVI v4 Theta Vault

Withdraw from V3 Theta Vault and Deposit into the V4 Hedged Theta Vault

Withdraw

1. Open https://cvi.finance, connect your wallet, select the Arbitrum option for networks, and then click on “Vaults” on the top menu.

2. Select the ‘Enter Vault’ to get access to the Theta Vault.

3. Select the withdraw option.

4. The v3 vault will be available only for withdrawals, so for your convenience, select the MAX amount.

5. Click approve T-CVI-LP, and approve spending cap on MetaMask.

6. Press the withdrawal button shown on the screen and approve in your wallet.

DEPOSIT

1. Go to cvi.finance and first select the “Trade” option of the top menu.

2. If you’re transitioning from CVI v3’s Theta Vault to v4, you’ll need to convert your USDC due to a change in accepted currencies. V3 supported wrapped USDC.e, while v4 requires native USDC. To facilitate this, simply use the “SWAP” function to exchange USDC.e for USDC. If you don’t have USDC or ETH (for transaction fees) on Arbitrum, our ‘SWAP’ feature is readily available to help. Should your tokens be on a different network, transferring them to Arbitrum is straightforward with the bridge feature.

3. Connect your wallet to the platform and select the Arbitrum network.

4. Go to the ‘Vaults’ tab in the top menu.

5. Select ‘Enter Vault’.

6. Select ‘deposit’ to create a new deposit.

7. Enter the amount of USDC you want to deposit, and then click on the ‘APPROVE USDC’, select the approved cap allowed in your wallet, then approve. Once done, click on the ‘DEPOSIT’ button that appears right where the ‘APPROVE USDC’ button was, and accept the transaction in your wallet.

8. You can check your profit & loss and the position size on the right.
